For dog folks, do you notice a different relationship between your male and female dogs?
I love the build, strength, and athleticism of my male. He’s a really cool dog. He is gentle and playful but I wouldn’t call him MY dog relative to the other people in this family.

I had a female before him and there was no doubt that she was my dog. She was Velcro when I was home. It changed a bit when my youngest son was born, she loved him more than anyone, but was mostly mine.

Both dogs are/were awesome with the family but you notice slightly different relationships.

A few months ago we got another female and I thought she was bonding with my wife way more than me. But that is changing as she matures. More and more she’s glued to me and wants to be in the truck as much as possible (our male hates car rides but loves the destinations). Both are awesome dogs but it seems like the females bond more with a family’s dad than others.

Do you notice anything similar in your family? Or maybe different? All of ours are/were GSPs so I’m not chalking up the differences to dog type.

Obligatory dog pic. She about 35 pounds now, maybe 10 to 15 to go.
