It's quiet, light, and runs at a relatively high pressure (165 psi); most standard compressors run at 150 psi, and compressors from a few years ago run at 130 psi.
The Craftsman pancake compressor (identical to the Porter Cable pancake compressor) runs at 150 psi and is good; my only knock on it is that it's significantly louder than the DeWalt.
Metabo (formerly Hitachi) probably makes the "best" compressor (runs at 200 psi, is probably the most durable) but it's expensive and the loudest of the compressors mentioned.
