Zach played against the Patriots twice (6th ranked defense this year and currently 2nd in the NFL for sacks) and Buffalo (5th ranked defense) in his last 3 games. Mike White came in and played against a horrible Bears D. The Bears defense is bad. Anything less than a stellar game against the Bears would have been bad.

I'm not passing judgement until White plays the next two games against the Vikings and the Bills. Then let's see what his stats look like. Zach was getting hit a lot behind that offensive line. Mike White got sacked once against the Bears (30th ranked def this year and second worst for getting pressure on the QB). Let's see what he does against the Vikings (20th ranked defense, average) and the Bills (5th ranked defense).

By the way, I'm not saying that Zach hasn't looked bad this year. He deserves the criticism because he has struggled this year, even in their wins. I'm just saying that it's not fair to compare his roughest games against better defenses to the game that Mike White had against one of the worst defenses in the league. Next week and the following, White will look a lot more like Zach did. Then, they'll bring back Zach to finish the year against Detroit, Jacksonville, Seattle, and Miami. See how he does and then reevaluate in the off season.
