Meh...
What I saw was still a number of careless turnovers, some missed layups, and so on. BYU certainly had a good share of improvements and continued to show flashes of their potential to be great so credit to that. But overall, I'd say the actual win was more a result of BYU benefitting from loss of depth for Dayton than it was BYU playing as a significantly better team in the 2nd half. If I remember right, they lost three starters, both their guards to freak injuries and a big man who fouled out, all in the 2nd half. As that 2nd half progressed, Dayton was clearly fatigued by that point being on their 3rd game in as many days. In the end, BYU's health and depth is what allowed them to climb back out of the 23 point hole they found themselves in early on in the game and chip away at Dayton's big lead thereafter as time went on, only being down SJ due to his injury the prior day. It didn't look like it was because they suddenly showed themselves to be a significantly better team.

That said, hopefully GG has snapped out of his early season funk because that was indeed his best game of the year by far. Jax shot well too and Dallin was good off the bench. If Rudi and Stewart could both play a bit more patiently and under control and read the lanes better when they're in and improve their shooting consistency alongside the other guys you graded maintaining consistency with the kind of performances they had, then I think this team will be a significantly better team that can threaten even the Zags this year as the Zags are now looking a bit more vulnerable than they have in more recent years.
