Meh. Judging a snow storm by conditions in Little Cottonwood Canyon is like judging a cold front by conditions...
at Peter Sinks. Both places have unique geographies that lend themselves to extreme conditions. There’s a reason that Little Cottonwood (and adjacent Bell’s Canyon) is the only canyon along the Wasatch Front that was glaciated all the way down to Lake Bonneville during the last ice age.

In Utah County, a lot of places received only a dusting of snow last night. Trial Lake in the High Uintas got only half the snow that Snowbird did. So, it was for sure a decent storm. But it wasn’t an unusual one. Sorry to go KSL on your enthusiasm.
