Why does Robinson boot the ball way too far in front of himself and lose it half the time? I counted like three or four times at least he commits an unforced turnover. Fundamentals.

Why does Weah make such poor decisions in the box? On the free header on a soft ball early his best move by far was to chest control it down and take a kick shot, he had the space. Instead he tries to head whip it in with no ball momentum when the keeper was holding, on a shot that had zero chance, easy save. Makes no sense. Then Sargent lays it off for him perfectly from the line and he has a clear path to the goal between defenders, he rockets it over the bar, not even close to on frame. Just has to go at the goal there, any human on the planet could have hit it right. Ball came in clean at ground level, he was straight on, nothing difficult about it. Later, he and Sargent have a great two man game going on a run into the box and instead of taking what would have been a very good look at the goal, he tries to force a pass back to Sargent as they ran out of room to maneuver, and the defender easily intercepts. On another play against one defender he goes to make a baseline move where he has zero space and simply kicks the ball out of bounds for a goal kick. Just boneheaded, stupid stuff.

Is this really the best we can put on the field?

Guys like Dest, Ream, Adams, Pulisic make those two look like garbage.
