There are already blowouts in the 4 team playoff a lot of the time.
Expanding the playoffs will give more teams access, leading to more nationally relevant programs, meaning that there is a good probability that top talent will begin to spread out instead of all going to the same 4 or 5 schools.
This will be huge for college football and may finally create a little more parity in a sport that has zero.
