USC is a blueblood and views Utah, ASU, Arizona, etc as below them. And frankly, they know it. The Big Ten isn't rushing to throw tens of millions of dollars at those schools. USC knows that and it plays into how they view the world and how they know the world views them.
USC views their peers as the other blue bloods in college football. Just how it is.
