SinkingQuffa Intervention Needed
Not too surprising. Massive skull racks were reported in Tenochtitlan by
the early Conquistadors.

Much of the conquered city sank deep into the swamp soil — before it was resettled a century later. So much of the old city is still under there somewhere. Only the modern city built right on top of it — keeps it from being excavated & studied.
