players, and assuming or knowing that the players you have will get beat with speed. And then just staying committed to that, waiting for the development to arrive and talent to increase. I’m just a fan, but I would say it kinda started to maybe look like that was happening…. But then didn’t . And not even close. This staff wasn’t the first to play conservative/prevent in order to not get blown away by speed. I wonder ever be heard from someone like Whittingham about recruiting speed and athleticism to Provo? Probably came in thinking it would be a struggle.
Oh and all this being said, Tuiaki wasn’t great. But as to why it got so bad, the above is a decent answer.
