Exactly. But, if other states allow it, why does Utah restrict it? For instance, there are some 2026 pitchers that
Would have been relievers as 8th graders. I'm not in favor of letting 8th graders play varsity or even sub varsity sports. It isn't in keeping with NFHS goals, which is to augment the education and not about winning or better competition
