You know he’ll bring the rock star presence. He’ll wow recruits by walking in their doors. He’ll bring the spotlight to Colorado.
How he’ll actually hire and coach highly-paid coordinators and coaches and run a major program is a mystery. Is Deion a talented leader and administrator? Perhaps—he’s charismatic and successful. If he lacks the skills of a major program builder, is he saavy enough to hire into his deficiencies and delegate effectively? Maybe. I don’t know that we know.
Colorado has nothing to lose, and for them, I think it’s a smart hire. They’re down and out, so might as well go big.
Whatever happens, I doubt it’ll be boring.
