Nobody thinks we'll do good early in the big 12.
But 4 or 5 years from now we definitely can.
Nobody could make the players we had on defense into a good defense just with playcalling for a couple months.
With this class being good and keeping it up the next 3 years, we can absoltuley have the players and play callers needed to be good. And as long as the offense keeps their momentum, the whole team will be good.
The historically bad defense doesn't matter anymore because it doesn't exist anymore.
But our top 25 offense does exist.
Even though this year wasn't a rebuild yesr we could still end up with only 1 less win than expected. That isn't a big deal after having 2 great years.

It’s possible it already fell and we are just now realizing. COVID, ZW, Hall and TA kept it at bay. But it’s here now
