I was kidding about the dangers of that road.. This is probably what you want (UDOT Cameras)
On the left under 'traffic maps'.. click US-6. You can actually see what the road conditions look like (live). There are also links to road weather alerts.

Also.. if you have an iPhone look for an app called "Weather on The Way" in the app store. You can enter your travel time and it will show you the conditions of your trip/road.
