Additional New Mexico Activities....
Bandelier National Monument (in Jemez mountains north of ABQ)
Tent Rocks National Monument (again in Jemez, but on other side of mountains from Bandelier - can't do them on same trip I don't think)

National Nuclear Museum (on Eubank on East end of town) - lots on nuclear power, nuclear weapons, etc.
Bradbury Museum (in Los Alamos, about 2 hours away) - nuclear weapons development and history

Valles Caldera - caldera of ancient volcano. You can see the rim around you, which is pretty cool.

Place to eat
1) Dions ... fun, uniquely New Mexico pizza
2) El Pinto ... New Mexico to Mexican food
3) Gabriels ... (near Santa Fe) ... New Mexican to Northern New Mexican food (more sauce) - Must get tableside fresh guacamole
4) Rancho de Chimayo ... further away ... Northern New Mexican (less sauce)
5) Golden Pride ... unique mix of Mexican and Fried Chicken
6) the Owl Diner ... big portions, unique Route 66 era diner
7) Whataburger and Lottaburger ... semichain burgers all over New Mexico

On the Drive from Utah
Aztec ruins in Aztek NM - has a rebuilt Kiva that is pretty cool - about 1-2 hours)
Chaco Canyon - (honestly HARD to do on the drive since it takes a long time - but worth a day if you have time) - ancient ruins
"Once upon a Sandwich" or "Pippo's Cafe" in Cortez are fun little unique lunch spots along the way
