…Hunter’s 5 yrs or so removed from high school playing against 18 and 19 yo’s, JC ranks made up of a lot of players who were above-avg to good HS players just last year. Hunter should be dominating them.
Knight is the 3rd best player on a 2-6 team so far this year with a SOS rated #289th. They’re in the middle of a 5 game losing streak. He’s found his happy place, I think he’d rather be a top player on a lousy team than a role player on a good team.
Lohner has also found his happy place. There’s no weight or burden of expectations in his role with Baylor. He has good size and athleticism and is sort of playing the same role Kolby Lee played for BYU on that 2019-20 team. There are plenty of other guys to do all the heavy lifting, he just needs to focus on playing good defense and rebounding and get open near the basket for the occasional drive and dish to him.
Hope all three continue to do well and have good years this year. Not so much for next year with regards to Erickson and Lohner because they’ll face BYU in games, then I hope they struggle.
