No advantage, imo. It's why PKs are so controversial.
Unless you have a good PK keeper, they are really a crapshoot.
Things that matter:
1. Are you a confident shooter under pressure
2. Did you do your homework to learn the player's tendencies (if you're a keeper)
3. Did you do your homework to learn the keeper's tendencies (if you're a player)
4. Having a good start to the PK shootout
