Of course they aren't. But they are pretty dang good at what they do and provide the most robust data on individual players and collective units than any other organization out there.
We totally struggled in short yardage situations, mostly in the back half of the year. I think a lot of that could be attributed to play calling and some goes to the RB group who did not grade out very well (meaning they did not hit on their responsibilities).
Penalties are what they are. I don't think the OL was any more penalized than most, likely average but I don't have data for that.
Bottom line, I'm not sure you can fire an OL coach who did that well with this year's group. We already struggle to bring in good coaching talent so now you fire a guy who has the #1 and #23 pass and run blocking units in the country? What message does that send? And that is a secondary point to the fact that he shouldn't be fired. He's done a better than average job. The OL pipeline is strong and we are recruiting well at that position.
