He did the 335 for one season, and determined that BYU’s recruiting strengths
were better suited to a 343. While he did “bend”, once the offense passed the 50 he turned up the pressure, and if they got within FG range, he dialed it up more. A far cry from what Tuiaki’s D turned into.
