Coach Whiting's fresh energy & vision could've definitely been used a few years ago, but we'll certainly take her now.

I've watched more games this year than I have in the last three (& before Shaylee came I simply stopped watching for three years).

Our team isn't all that talented this season, but I LOVE the defensive emphasis & the fairly high commitment to rotation balance. Of playing girls at their natural positions, & of getting girls out their who can adequately defend those positions. Those were things Juddy never really seemed to care about in his recruiting or in forming his rotations. He always just ended up swinging heavy with his more skill-talented girls. (Yes, I realize he had a few exceptional years — but as with Rose — those loaded years often were something he obtained from within BYU natural recruiting footprint. Iows, the talent & height fell to him some years.)
