to pay for it, either directly (like cutting a check from the schools back to the distributor via the conference - less likely, I’d guess) or indirectly (like it being deducted from revenues in the next year or few years - more likely, I’d guess). Either way, it sucks.

That’s assuming it was distributed out to the schools and not held centrally at the conference, which is what I’d imagine was the case.

But I don’t actually know anything more than anyone else, of course.
