If you read the book, no, its not quite as good as the book, and maybe because I served in Scandinavia I could better understand Ove and the book better, but its still a good movie.

And I know I shouldn't let Hollywoods politics annoy me, but having read the book and seen the movie, I was sad they dumped the gay YM for a transgender YM. Kind of like women, gays are also the losers when they are cast aside in the fight for transgender acceptance.
