Well I think it gets back to my original point
His roster construction is not very good. If somehow he gets the right pieces together he will do fine. The problem is he seems to have a weakness with roster construction.
I also wouldn't say he was giftwrapped the roster his first two years though. He pulled a miracle to bring Childs back and he brought Toolson and Barcello with him to BYU. Following year he brought in Haarms and Averette which took BYU to a 6 seed. After that, it's been brutal.
