i think it's a way to socially watch videos with friends.
i could be wrong.
also, if the video is 3d of some sort, then you take advantage of the fact that you're watching with your VR headset, and can turn your head and it looks like you're there.
the video of the baylor game, i think, wouldn't take advantage of that. so it'd just look like you're sitting in some theater with 15 other avatars watching the game on a big screen. you prolly can talk and throw imaginary popcorn at people, or at the screen when something bad happens for BYU.
