If Saleh and Co. don’t make the playoffs this year, they’re probably fired. So, you’re looking at a potential one and done if you’re the OC.

On top of that, you have a QB who has really struggled and it’s your job to fix him. The Jets want to replace him, but that could mean anything from Aaron Rodgers to Derrick Carr to a Carson Wentz/Baker Mayfield type guy. There’s just so much unknown.

So, as it stands, you’re potentially looking at one year to get a Zach Wilson led offense into the playoffs. You’re competing against Josh Allen and the GOAT coach in your division, plus an up and coming team in Miami.

If you knew that you had a few years to get things going, maybe you take it. But the reality is, your HC is getting fired if you don’t make the playoffs, which means you’re probably gone too. And as it currently stands, it all rests on Zach Wilson or Mike White at QB. No thanks.
