we are mandated in washington. I'm getting more and more brazen leaving it down.
I feel like to communicate with my patients especially they older ones that they understand me better and I communicate better when they can see my lips. The law reads that you can temporarily remove mask for certain services as long as you put it back on right after...I'm starting to justify talking to my patients as one of those services. But there are parts of my exams that just cant be done effectively or as well with a mask and I'm asking more people to remove them. But If I sense they are one of those people that just love masks...I wear it for them and allow them to wear it to avoid any contention.
