The dialer system and how I would hear the click and knew that I had been hung up on before I ever got fully connected.

Well one of those times that I got hung up on I started the script and said, “Hello is John Jensen there?” That was my companion’s name (obviously changed to protect the innocent).

I followed with, “Oh he isn’t?” Pause. “Really he is serving a two year LDS mission.” Pause. “That is awesome, where to?” Another pause. “No way! I am going there too.” Another pause, “He is in the MTC? Me too!”

Right then I see him get up and start moving my way from across the room. Noticing this I quickly say, “That’s great, well I’ll let you go, bye.”

By this time he is moving fast and says, “Elder bin01015! Don’t hang up that’s my family.”

It was awesome until I broke the news that I made it all up. He was mad for a week.
