Do you run a filter? Do you store the ice in it?

Our first one got too hot and burned up. Since taking steps to ease the burden, following directions and tips, we have had zero issues with the second unit.

You take ice out and put in freezer? Won't it just keep making more?

You can freeze ice. Turn machine off when not in use.
