Have you tried using 'Wireless Diagnostics'?
Hold down the 'option' key on the keyboard.. then click the WiFi icon at the top of the screen. There should be more options in that drop-down now (by holding down the option key)... Click the 'Wireless Diagnostics' option from the menu.
