The monthly “share” is NOT tax deductible. People do it, but it is not allowed

Under IRS guidelines, because the share is not a Premium. It is money that goes toward actual care of other people.

In fact, they used to send a monthly statement that showed what your share amount went to - Heather from Omaha’s leg fracture costs.

It is true that you get a deduction for any out of pocket expenses above a certain percentage of income…
