Real college basketball relevancy is earned in March. And all that can change
in a single season.
One could argue that the only nationally relevant program between the entire WCC and MWC is Gonzaga.
The next tier of BYU, SMC, and SDSU have been fighting to become relevant.
BYU, by virtue of joining the #1 basketball conference in the nation, will become a little bit more relevant by association. Just like we get more attention when we're playing GU.
BYU has a passionate, engaged fanbase. I think BYU rises to the occasion, even if it takes a couple seasons.
