Depth pickup with upside. Good athlete for his size (can dunk a basketball at 325 lbs, played volleyball). I think he
was a non-qualifier coming out of high school. BYU really wants to breed some competition on the DL immediately, and the best way to do that is to bring in some guys who have played at a level higher than high school who can push the guys already here.
