I know it seems like a minor thing, but it actually changes the experience. They use tall plastic cups, whereas they used to use short styrofoam cups. It makes it more difficult to get to the butterscotch or fudge in the middle or bottom without making the custard spill out the top. Also, it doesn't keep the custard as cold, so it melts faster. It clearly hasn't stopped me from going, though.
Also, it's not cash only anymore. That's a very positive change.
