It does have an uplifting ending; but it could easily be triggering to someone with suicidal thoughts. It's quite graphic. We took our kids, one of whom recently attempted suicide in the same way the movie graphically starts. It was crushing to be sitting next to him, wondering if it was triggering him.
The problem isn't the content. It's the way it was advertised.
