If you look at the reports, it's stated that teams have gotten word that the Mavs would consider moving him in return for a star player.

On the Jazz that means...Markannen and probably nobody else (although Markannen would be a great fit for them with Doncic)
Of course the Jazz are going to do their due diligence and see if they can't convince the Mavs that Jordan Clarkson is a star.

And of course the Mavs are going to say no - unless it comes with some picks...especially since DFS is their best wing defender.

And then the Jazz will say no on the sending picks with Clarkson, and everyone will go on their way having verified that the trade market is generally as expected.
