Aren't they AAU snobs?
Who fits in as members of the American Association of Universities?

Here are the non-PAC AAU members in the Pacific Time Zone (excluding USC and UCLA, cause they gone):

- UC Davis - Has football, competes in the Big Sky conference.
- UC Irvine - No football, but does compete in Div I basketball.
- UC San Diego - No football, but does compete in Div I basketball.
- UC Santa Barbara - No football, but does compete in Div I basketball.
- UC Santa Cruz - No football, compete in Div III of a handful of sports.
- Caltech - No football, but basketball is a "varsity" sport there.

Such a wealth of choices? How can it be narrowed to just two? Obviously, UC Davis is the best PAC12 fit, but SDSU, Fresno State, not even San Jose State are no where to find. So, how will they find a second entry?

- Rice University - closest geographically, with the next being ...
- Tulane! - party time!
- Buffalo or Pittsburgh.

The rest of them are in the SEC, BigTen, Ivy or ACC. The rest beyond that have no football.
