I think it's working to start him because he's tall and works hard on defense. which can be intimidating if he is guarding the other team's scorer. It's obviously tougher to shoot with a 6-10 (he always corrects me and says he's 6'11) guy in your face. So if that works then Waterman starting has value. We just don't have any tall guys so it's good to have a tall guy on the court for awhile even though he doesn't play as tall as he is.

Waterman is not great at anything but he does make some plays. He might bother a shooter and make him miss, he might get a rebound if Fouss doesn't get them all, he might do something good but it's not shooting threes right now. Maybe his shooting will come back. If things are going good for him then Pope can play him longer, if not out he comes. He's got to play under control and do the things he can do and not take shots he isn't making.
