Here's something almost no one ever mentions about women's basketball...
The ball the women use is smaller than what the men use. But the rims are the same size. So it should be easier to make a basket with the basketball the women use compared to what the men use. And yet you routinely see a ton of missed layups in nearly every womens game. There are some good 3-point shooters in the women's game, but they do seem to get a lot of open shots, and, again, the ball is smaller, giving the shooter more margin for error when they shoot.
