Along these lines, I don’t like when people talk through infants or
toddlers. Things like this.

Person A talking to a child who can’t talk: “Hi, oh my goodness you are so cute and I love that outfit.

Person B holding the child: “Say ‘thank you, it’s one of my favorite shirts’”.

That’s kind of a lame example but one time I heard like a legit argument all through the baby.

Person A: “Tell your mommy that you want to come visit us”

Person B: “Say ‘We want to but we can’t right now.”

Person A: “Say “But you have to make time.”

Person B: “Say ‘We will someday but we really can’t right now’”

Essentially anytime they tell their child to “say something” but that child has zero ability to say it so they just have a conversation through their child.
