I have read Tolstoy’s novels. I loved Resurrection and War and Peace. I couldn’t get into Anna Karenina—it was my least
favorite of the three.
The plot of Lolita horrifies me. I haven’t read it. Does it have redeeming value?

Dickens is my favorite author. So something by him would be my recommendation. But not great expectations.
