the greater debate comes down to recency bias vs primary (nostalgia) bias. For some reason I got sick of recency bias getting all the hate so I joined the fight attacking nostalgia bias.

When a debate like this (or really most debates) can't be proven and each side can use data that can be construed to their liking no one can ever win.

Really I guess I have been fighting against this thread especially because I don't like that smug "debate ending" video. It can be deconstructed and counter attacked like most debates.

The player video to me just proves nostalgia wins. The older players want to be validated that their competition was legit. The newer players were indoctrinated that MJ was a God. If you play with LeBron you can tell he is mortal.
