Does it sound like this? If it sounds like 0:00-0:15 then new engine. If it sounds like 2:32-2:40 then it's just the
variable valve timing. You should hear my Tacoma with it's gimmicky Atkinson Cycle engine, it sounds like a diesel engine at idle.
Anyway, the canadian who made the video said Hyundai was replacing motors with this defect, so if you need a new engine...you might be ok.
