on the website? I have a family member traveling to Costa Rica for the Vacation Club at Los Suenos and the alerts on the resort’s Marriott site still say that travel insurance is required by Costa Rica even though everything I find online shows that was rescinded on April 1, 2022.
Despite my efforts to show him it's outdated, this family member is still worried that the official email link received from Marriott says he needs to buy $500 in travel insurance.
The quote below is from the Know Before You Go section at the bottom of this site:
Tourists visiting Costa Rica are asked to abide by the sanitary protocols implemented for carrying out all tourist activities in the country. The following requirements remain during the pandemic:
1. Complete the digital form called HEALTH PASS and available at https://salud.go.cr
2. Purchase health insurance
If these requirements are not met, the passenger will not be able to enter the country.
