But if a magic genie appeared to me at the beginning of the NCAA tournament and both BYU and Utah were in, and this genie told me he would grant me one wish - either that BYU win or that Utah lose - I'd pick BYU win every single time.

I can understand how some would also be cheering for Utah to lose. I've worked with obnoxious Utah fans in the past, to the degree that I absolutely wanted them to lose to shut up some dumb fans. I've got no problem with BYU fans who feel that way.

But my happiness from tournaments doesn't come from Utah losing first It comes from BYU winning first - if Utah loses, that's just a bonus. 😉
