Pride. Some don't like that he went to H&S. Some don't like that he was P of
BYU-I. Some don't like that he's been working for the Church with Deseret Management corp and with the CES for BYU Pathways. Some will want a President from within BYU that won't rock the boat (or be a passive leader).
None of them know Clark. If they did, they would know that he is a strong leader, forward looking and thinking, and a great choice for President of BYU.
