normal, but in most countries the stars almost never sit out in the sports that matter most to their countries (Russia and many European countries in hockey, Japan and Latin American countries in Baseball, most of the world in soccer). They rarely talk about the risk. They accept the risk feeling like it is their duty to represent the country even when they do not have a great chance to win.
