We were told many times, even on CB, over the past 12+ years that “if BYU were
worth anything they’d be in a P5 conf by now.”
In BYU’s case, there was a LOT more to it than that and the biggest culprit was the P12 would never even entertain the possibility of adding BYU.
There was a reason they loved to schedule BYU. The P12 loved the one-night stands with BYU and then being able to send them home. Now, BYU is in a healthier relationship, with a hot wife and, in Bowlsby’s words, in a good marriage. 😄

IIRC, BYU gave ESPN a discount for the right to rebroadcast the games on KBYU right after the ESPN broadcast.
