Large market in a recruit rich area with fabulously wealthy alumni. It's no guarantee obviously, but there's some upside.

In the other side, they have no presence in that market, haven't been good except for a brief stretch where they were cheating more than anyone else. It absolutely could (and probably will) just be another team that's dead weight

I get taking a shot on upside when you're in desperate straits. It's not a bad move. But it's also not only upside
