10 years ago it was worthwhile to try to stop it, but is is a lost battle now
In the age of Twitter, TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts, most video content shared online is consumed vertically.
Vertical is the natural ergonomic position with a phone.
Vertical is not the best aspect ratio of course, horizontal makes more sense, but with how ubiquitous video on phones became in the last decade, it's simple the reality.
