The Pac 10 and its presidents, and by extension their commissioner, think "social justice" first and last. That's why BYU would never be invited to the Pac 10, ever, even if it guaranteed that UO and UW would stay in the conference and even if it brought extra money to the TV deal. BYU's stance in the past and present on LGBTQ+ issues "disqualifies" them. Because their thinking is misplaced, they will always lag behind. They'll invite SMU and SDSU as a bandaid fix when they could have added BYU, TTU, TCU, Houston, Baylor, or any other current or future Big 12 team when the Big 12 was reeling after OUT.
